What is Global Hack U 2025 FUKUOKA?

「Hack U」はLINEヤフー社員サポートのもと、限られた期間の中で学生がプロダクトを自ら企画・開発・発表するイベントです。

ものづくりを楽しみながらクリエイターになるきっかけを体感してみましょう！

「Global Hack U」は全編英語で進行される特別開催です。英語が得意な方はもちろん、英語に興味のある方、挑戦してみたい方のご参加も大歓迎です。

プレゼンテーションや簡単な質疑応答が中心となりますので、高い英語力は必須ではありません。安心してご参加ください！

"Hack U" is a hackathon event where students plan, develop, and present their own works, supported by LY Corporation employees.

Enjoy the process of creation and seize the opportunity to become a creator!

"Global Hack U" is a special edition of the event conducted entirely in English. We warmly welcome not only those who are confident in English communication, but also anyone who's interested in using English or simply wants to give it a try.

The English used will mainly be for presentations and simple Q&A sessions, so a high level of English proficiency is not required. Please feel free to join!

Event Outline

Registration Period	The registration period has ended.
Kickoff	18 August 2025 18:00–19:00 Online
Development Period	18 August 2025 - 29 August 2025 * You can work freely with your team during this period.
Presentation	30 August 2025 13:00-18:00 * Participants are expected to arrive at 10:00
Presentation Venue	~~Reference Eki-Higashi Building Conference Room H-2~~ LY Corporation Hakata Fukami Office At least one presenter from each team must attend in person. Please note that no travel expenses will be provided.
Awards	Multiple outstanding works will be selected by the judges. Winning teams will receive prizes.
Judging Criteria	Works will be judged comprehensively based on the following: Originality (Does it demonstrate unique technology or a creative combination of technologies?) Technical Merit (Is the technology being used advanced?) Growth Potential (What kind of ripple effect can be expected in the future?) Reproducibility (Does it actually work beyond just ideas and presentations?)
About the Presentation	Each team has 180 seconds for the presentation (no extensions). Presentations may be stopped midway if it's determined that another person’s copyright is being infringed upon.
